10th Revival Annual Dinner & Auction success

The Revival Annual Dinner and Auction on Friday 9 September in Cumbernauld New Town Hall was a night to celebrate 10 years of 100.8 Revival FM, as the radio station launched full-time with an Ofcom broadcasting licence on 3 September 2006.

The three course dinner was appreciated by all, with a choice of starters, mains and desserts, followed by coffee and tea.

A cash prize quiz was later followed by a draw for a weekend in a prestigious hotel which included dinner, bed and breakfast and the use of all health facilities worth £350. “Collectively, we answered the questions to the best of our ability!” said Revival FM presenter Rod Marshall.

The auction went really well including one prize which was a cooked meal for six at the home of Revival FM Station Manager Andrew Polson. It was in such demand Andrew had to make it into two prizes raising around £210 for each prize! revival-auction-2016

Altogether the whole night exceeded expectations raising over £11,600 and The Gospel Heirs rounded off the evening singing four great worship songs. “It was a great success” said Rod who presents the weekly programme Cutting Tracks on Revival FM, featuring new Christian music from around the UK and the world.

Rod also attended The Gospel Heirs 26th Anniversary Concert the following night, Saturday 10 September, at Burnside-Blairbeth Church in Rutherglen, Glasgow. With a near full capacity and the night in aid of two overseas mission charities this was another resounding success.

Thank you everyone who was involved. Please make this a regular evening in the beautiful Burnside Church. And thank you Andrew Polson, The Gospel Heirs and Sarah McGeachey.”

Revival FM Station Manager Andrew Polson said: “I must thank everyone for supporting the ministry of Revival FM by coming along to a great social event with an excellent dinner and auction to add even more fun to the night, plus the live performance from The Gospel Heirs.  Revival will be back in September 2017 for the 11th Annual Dinner and Auction Night. Thanks again to everyone for making it a success.”
