GLASGOW: Christmas Celebration 2016

The BIG Christmas Celebration 2016 when you can join The Celebration Choir and Orchestra for the Glasgow Christmas Celebration 2016 was on Friday 16 December at 7.30pm in the Main Auditorium of The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, 2 Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow city centre.

Musical director Andrew Polson commented: “What a night last Friday in Edinburgh for the Christmas Celebration 2016.  A beautiful venue and we’re delighted to announce that The Assembly Room Music Hall has been booked for 2017 – brilliant! Now on to Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall.”

This year our presentation “Light out of The Darkness” is an apt title and theme covering a message that offers encouragement for us all and hope to those living in a darkened world, just as it did over 2,000 years ago.

Our appreciation this year once again extends to the singing talents of The Celebration Choir, the musical gifts of the Concert Orchestra drawn from musicians at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the powerful audio visual presentation – all recounting the greatest story ever told.

And we welcome our special guests this year – the ever popular Gospel Heirs who are celebrating over 26 years in musical ministry; Jane Gallan who sang with us at our Easter Celebration in March of this year; Freshtouch from London and the ever popular and talented young singer Lois Dick.”

Andrew (pictured) adds: “We are reminded from the Bible that in creation God said “Let there be light” and so He spoke light intoAndrew Polson new being…light was then manifest in flesh through the birth of His Son Jesus Christ, thus allowing darkened hearts to be illuminated by God’s glory, through the provision of a Son born in a manger… “I am the light of the world” proclaimed Jesus Christ. May sad and darkened hearts be enlightened, encouraged and uplifted at our Christmas Celebration on Friday evening and all over our communities, the nation and across the world as we fast approach the Saviour’s Day – Light out of the Darkness!”

Enjoy the concert!
