This week’s Cutting Tracks with Rod Marshall

In this show I give airplay to up and coming Christian artists as well as some established artists that record on the smaller labels which include Christian independent, major independent and indie labels. Most of the music and artists are from across the pond in the US of A, although now and again I play a track from a British artist that comes across my path writes Rod Marshall.

If you are in that category and would like me to consider giving airplay to your new release then email me at or on my Facebook page (private message) me Rod Marshall to discuss it.

As Christmas draws ever closer I will be playing a good selection of Christmas songs as they are released. But I will try not to play the old favourites more the brand new writings of many of the artists on these original Christmas tracks.

So this week which is from Tuesday 27 October to Sunday 1 November 2015, we have a group called ‘This Hope’ singing a brand new track ‘Take Me To TheThis Hope Manger’ – album cover shown.

Growing up in Alaska where the winters were cold and long, it’s no surprise that THIS HOPE had the time to make some great Christmas music! With, “A Little More Christmas” their third Christmas album, they carry on that tradition while staying true to the unique vocal sound that defines their music.

Also on the show we have a new group called Koldasee and they have a new Christmas Album of 12 tracks so I am playing a couple of these The Child Has Arrived and Let There Be Christmas.

Keeping the Christmas theme we have Paul Baloche with his new release For Unto Us and we also have another great track from Jonathan Veira – The Prayer which was also sung by Celine Dione and Andrea Bocelli. Needless to say, I really like rendering by Jonathan.

Every week I feature Rod’s Rock Spot on the show where I highlight one or two new or up and coming rock bands. One thing I do insist on is that as with any release we have to hear the lyrics clearly otherwise it is just a noise and means nothing. Featured this week is a brand new rock group called Silverside and their track is Closer. With multiple radio releases – two top 10 hits and others making appearances on Billboard Rock Charts with their current release for March 2015 ‘Anthem’ at a National position of #7. ‘Circus Circus’ took a chart position of #8 while “Break Away’ #14, Run To You’ #16, and ‘Hush’ #24. Enjoy the show.

The majority of releases that I play can be downloaded at Itunes or on Amazon, remember to go through the link on the front page of to enable a commission to be paid to Revival FM or you can stream them on Spotify.
