Council Elections 2017: Andrew Polson elected

Revival FM station manager Andrew Polson has been elected as a Councillor on East Dunbartonshire Council following his successful election in Ward 3 – Bearsden South.

Bearsden South ward councillors will now be: Denis Johnston (SNP), Vaughan Moody (Lib Dems) and Andrew Polson (Conservative) who were all elected to represent Ward 3 – Bearsden South within East Dunbartonshire Council.cllr-andrew-polson-050517

The turnout for Ward 3 – Bearsden South was 61.7 %. Total votes cast was 6,648.

easter-2017-view-new-auditoriumThe two nights of the Easter Celebration 2017 “Kingdom Power Glory” took place over the Easter Weekend holiday in the New Auditorium of The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Saturday 15 April and Easter Sunday, 16 April.  It was a ‘full-house’ for the presentation at this new venue for the Celebration Concerts.

The Easter Celebration 2017 featured The Celebration Choir under the direction of Andrew Polson; The Concert Orchestra and The Gospel Heirs – twins John and Andrew Polson; Derek McCormick and David Patterson who formed their magical and music partnership in 1990.

Aileen Suttie posted on FB a short video from her phone on what she said was a “fantastic second night at RSNO New Auditorium within The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall with The Celebration Choir.”  Aileen added: “This wee video shows how amazing you were!”  View the video on The Celebration Choir FB page here.

Concert goer Iain Young posted on FB: “Sounding amazing as ever and I can’t wait to be back for Christmas” while Linda Suttie commented: “A wonderful evening of Worship and Praise lead by so many gifted singers and musicians.  Thank you all for your hard work! Andrew’s question from Pilate is a lasting reminder of God’s gracious gift. Happy Easter.

The 100.8 Revival FM daytime programme team got together for this unique photo, all sporting their distinctive black Revival t-shirts.

This is the 100.8 Revival FM 2017 Dream Team to take you throughout the day!

The day starts bright and early with Dave Mitchell (pictured extreme right) on Revival Breakfast from 7.00am. 

At 11.00am husband and wife team, Iain and Leslie-Ann Scoular (left) get together to present Me’n’U Till Two with music, chat and features. 

At 3.00pm Andrew Polson (centre) drives you home with all the daily updates on news, sport, business and showbiz news plus Revival area traffic and travel updates.  Andrew is the Revival station manager, director and a founder member of Revival.

Helen Anderson (top left) rounds off daytime with the daily Evening Gazette from 6.00pm with updates on what is happening in the Revival community area and at 6.20pm Truth for Life presented by Alistair Begg. Truth for Life seeks to teach the Bible with clarity and relevance converting unbelievers, establishing believers and strengthening local churches.  

Helen is also the cheerful voice to answer the admin office phone when you call Revival FM on 01236 721110.  Helen also deals with ticket enquiries for Revival Events including the Celebration Choir presentations and also performances by The Gospel Heirs.

Back row right is Jason Muir (with Dave Mitchell to the right) who deals with production and content and you may hear him on the weather forecast.  Ann Kyle (right front) is also involved with production, weather, what’s on guide and much more.
