Me’n’U Till 2 featured artist: Neil Young

The first week of the New Year on the Me’n’U Till 2 programme with Leslie-Ann and Iain Scoular has the new Neil Young CD release ‘Songs For Judy’ as the featured artist week commencing 7 January 2019.

This Neil Young CD album features live performances from 1976 with 22 songs from Neil’s autumn 1976 tour and includes solo acoustic renditions of ‘Heart of Gold’, ‘The Needle and the Damage Done’, ‘After The Gold Rush’. One song, ‘No One Seems to Know,’ which hasn’t appeared before on any official release.

You will hear a variety of tracks from this brand new Neil Young CD album on Me’n’U Till 2 on weekdays 11.00am until 2.00pm on 100.8 Revival FM.

The first Celtic Fusion programme presentation for 2019 features the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards Foot Stompin’ podcast featuring music from the 25 albums long-listed in the Trad Album of the Year 2018.

Albums featured include tracks from Duncan Chisholm, Julie Fowlis, Skerryvore, Adam Sutherland, Josie Duncan & Pablo Lafuente and many many more.

The programme is produced and presented by Simon Toumire, organiser of the Scots Trad Awards/Na Trads.

This week’s (Friday 7 December) Gospel Blues Train programme on 100.8 Revival FM, presented and produced by Lins Honeyman, features an exclusive interview with Dutch-born, Vienna-based blues singer, guitarist and mandolin player Hans Theessink. 

With nearly 50 years in the business, Hans has become known for his laidback Delta Blues style and his rich baritone voice and, with a back catalogue containing in the region of 30 albums, has collaborated with the likes of Terry Evans, Ry Cooder and Brooks Williams. 

Lins caught up with Hans just before he went on stage at the Edinburgh Blues Club earlier this year to find out more about his long and varied career.
