Isle of Arran born fiddler/singer Gillian Frame, who was Scotland’s inaugural Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2001, and co-founder of the much-missed Back of the Moon, launches her first solo album entitled Pendulum on 3 June 2016.

The Pendulum CD album is the featured Celtic Fusion programme ‘Album of the Month’ during June.  The album features producer Mike Vass on tenor guitar, mandolin, viola and vocals; Anna Massie is on guitar and bassist Euan Burton along with special guests Adam Holmes on vocals and Phil Hague (of Admiral Fallow) on percussion.Gillian Frame Pendulum

Pendulum is a collection of songs and tunes that have cemented themselves into her repertoire over the last 15 years.  Favourites from both performing and teaching contexts include Rothes Colliery written by husband and well known Scottish songwriter Findlay Napier, a song which reminded Gillian of a Gaelic waulking song; the famed Burns song Silver Tassie and a version of the classic child ballad The Cruel Mother, a song that Gillian has been singing for many years.
