Cutting Tracks with Rod Marshall

Cutting Tracks is produced and presented by Rod Marshall and is on 100.8 Revival FM on Tuesday at 12 midnight; Thursdays at 10.00pm and repeated on Sundays at 4.00pm. This week, commencing Tuesday 26 January, the programme features a brand new track from Phil Wickam taken from his CD album Your Love Awakens Me.

Phil says: “It’s hard to put into words how excited I am to share new music with you. We officially began working on this new record over a year ago and we’ve poured our hearts and souls into this project. You may remember about a year and a half ago, I lost my voice and was forced to undergo surgery on my vocal chords. There was definitely a risk of not being able to sing professionally again.

Specifically, this brand new release ‘Your Love Awakens Me’ is a song that celebrates the amazing, unfailing, life-giving love of Jesus.

The album’s first single, “This is Amazing Grace” gave Wickham his first career #1, topping Billboard’s National Christian Audience Chart for thirteen consecutive weeks. On Billboard’s 2014 Year End Charts, the song was the No.1 Christian Airplay Song, and Wickham himself claimed the No. 2 spot on the Christian Airplay Artists chart. “This is Amazing Grace” also received top honours at the BMI Christian Awards as their Song of the Year, recognising it as the most-played song on Christian radio in 2014.

More great first timers such as: Allan Scott, Jimmy White, Bridelle Houston and The Rock Spot features the group Cross The Divide with their latest release “The Perfect Storm.”

Most of the music and artists are from across the pond in the US of A.  Although now and again I play a track from a British artist that comes across my path.

If you are in this country or abroad and would like me to consider giving airplay to your new release then email me at or put it in Dropbox for me to give it a listen or Facebook (private message) me Rod Marshall to discuss it.

The majority of releases that I play can be downloaded at Itunes or on Amazon or you can stream them on Spotify.
