Cutting Tracks with Rod Marshall

Rod Marshall presents his weekly Cutting Tracks programme in which Rod gives airplay to up and coming Christian artists as well as some established artists that record on the smaller labels which include Christian independent, major independent and indie record labels.

Rod says: “Most of the music and artists are from across the pond in the USA. Although now and again I play a track from a British artist that comes across my path.

If you are in that category and would like me to consider giving airplay to your new release then email me at rod.marshall47@gmail.com or Facebook (private message) me, Rod Marshall to discuss it.”

This week some of the artists that will be on the show include:

Roxie Jane (pictured) – with her new single ‘No Place’ from here latest EP ‘Chick Flair’ – this release heralds her October tour of Ireland and UK but unfortunately, for most of her venues are in the London area. More details of the tour at www.roxiejanemusic.com   Revival FM hopes to arrange an interview with this artist and will be featured on the Drive Time show with Jules Crispin.

Jonathan Nelson is another artist to be featured on the programme who records with Light Records. His new release is ‘Anything Can Happen’ from his new album ‘Fearless’. Jonathan is no stranger to success with past hits such as ‘My Name is Victory’ and ‘The Struggle is Over’.  His full album is due for release early 2016.

Every week Rod features Rod’s Rock Spot on the show where he highlights one or two new or up and coming rock bands.

Rod MarshallRod (pictured left) comments: “One thing I do insist on is that as with any release we have to hear the lyrics clearly otherwise it is just a noise and means nothing. Featured this week are two great bands – Tree 63 with a track called ‘Alive’ on Shamrock Media Group Label and Marc Mysterio & Crash Test Dummies and their track is ‘Promised Land’ and this release is to highlight the plight of the refugees now descending on Europe. The majority of releases that I play can be downloaded at itunes or on Amazon or you can stream them on Spotify.

Cutting Tracks with Rod Marshall on 100.8 Revival FM, Tuesdays at 12 midnight; Thursdays at 11.00pm and Sundays 4.00pm.
