Inclusive Skating guest on Drive with Jules

On Friday’s Drivetime with Jules Crispin after 4.00pm, there will be special guests from Inclusive Skating of Bearsden, near Glasgow.

Inclusive Skating’s goal is to develop a programme that will include all skaters with an impairment and will allow them to participate in all competitions and events on an equal basis.

The 2016 annual Inclusive Skating event, incorporating the British Inclusive Skating Championships, Special Olympics National Championships and for the first time the British Blind Sport Championships, took place at Braehead Arena curling rink from 8-10 April 2016. There was over 50 skaters from both the UK and Canada competing this year.

Skaters competed in the following disciplines; elements, free skating, ice dance and for the first time this year, skaters competed in the pairs category in both elements and free.  More information about Inclusive Skating here.
