Naomi Shelton guests with Lins Honeyman

This Friday, 1st July from 8.00pm, The Gospel Blues Train with Lins Honeyman features an exclusive interview with septuagenarian Alabama-born soul singer Naomi Shelton that took place before her appearance with her band the Gospel Queens at this year’s Fife Jazz Festival.

Following a long and varied career, including a stint as house singer at Brooklyn’s legendary Nite Cap Club in the 1960s, Naomi has seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years with the release of two well-received Daptone Records albums “What Have You Done, My Brother” (2009) and “Cold World” (2014) together with tours of the UK and Europe.

Join Lins Honeyman on 100.8 Revival FM on Friday 1 July 8.00-9.00pm for this very special programme.  Also available on Catch Up anytime for 7 days after original broadcast.
