Unoma Okudo guests – listen on Catch Up

Unoma Okudo announces her first headline show at Stereo Café, Glasgow and to celebrate the release of her 6-track EP, ‘Odyssey’, the Glasgow-based singer-songwriter announces her first headline show at Stereo Café, 22-28 Renfield Lane, Glasgow G2 6PH on Thursday 19 May 2016.

On Thursday 5 May, Unoma was the featured guest on the Jules Crispin Drivetime Show on 100.8 Revival FM and online.

Unoma has enjoyed a great start to the year. Since the release of her first single ‘Satisfied’ in January, she has picked up support from both fans and tastemakers alike who describe her as “a singer with a sensational voice”.

The EP itself showcases the Nigerian-born singer-songwriter’s music which incorporates elements of soul, gospel and jazz. Her gospel influences also shine through in her main vocals and enchanting harmonies.Unoma

Unoma began writing songs while studying to become a medical doctor at the University of Glasgow.

She has since supported musical legends including Macy Gray, triple Grammy Award winner Lalah Hathaway; and as backing vocalist for Dougie MacLean at the Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony in 2014.
