Green Pastures exists to equip the Church to end homelessness, and a big part of that is educating as many people as possible on the issue so that they can be involved in the fight.

Some of the amazing outcomes we see include restored family relationships, new skills learned and increased confidence gained.

Many of our partners’ residents have also come into a relationship with Jesus through witnessing His love first hand.

Homeless Sunday takes place on the Sunday 10th October this year – It’s an event that’s been in the Christian circle for a long time, and gives us an opportunity to reflect on the issues surrounding homelessness in the UK and galvanise people to get involved in the solution.

Homeless Sunday is about bringing to light the very real situations that homeless people and those threatened with homelessness face every day.

Homelessness is an issue that affects many people, but is also an issue that many don’t understand or know deeply.

We have a FREE resource for your church so you can get involved. To claim yours or to find out more, please click on the link:

Strathclyde Evangelical Churches Football League – your chance to join.

Strathclyde Evangelical Churches Football League – your chance to join.

Strathclyde Evangelical Churches Leagues can provide a platform for community outreach through football.

The league is affiliated with the Scottish Amateur Football association and is run similar to any football league.

Participating in the league gives a different perspective for outreach to men aged 18 plus. Getting alongside guys who want to play can reap results not only on the football pitch but also off the pitch.

If you are looking for a new way to take the gospel of Jesus Christ into your community, maybe football would be a way to start.

It can start with the 11 players in the starting lineup and the 7 subs plus the others who may come along to be part of something.

New book from author John Caldwell

New book from author John Caldwell

In January 1999, John Caldwell had a powerful encounter with Christ that totally changed his life. This experience set him free from a chaotic life of hedonism and hopelessness.

John writes about his life-changing encounter with Jesus in his book ‘Christ, the Cross and the Concrete Jungle’ . This book has inspired thousands of Christians and impacted many non-Christians with its gritty and gripping account of life in the schemes of Scotland and John’s awe-inspiring account of Christ’s deliverance.

In January 2020, John and his wife Laura were called into church planting. In April 2020 they planted Kairos Church Stirling/Perthshire. Despite the challenges of lockdown, Kairos Church has seen God move and a number of lives restored to Christ. During lockdown, John was led by the Spirit to write ‘The Lion’s Roar: A Prophetic Wake-Up Call’. This book has been described as both “challenging” and “inspiring”.

Other books by John include ‘Visions from the Valley’ a 100 daily devotional based on extracts from the writings of early Pentecostal pioneers, many of whom emerged from the Welsh revival; ‘Restoring Tongues of Fire’: a fresh look at the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the signs that follow; and ‘Radical Church’ a book that explores a number of challenges both within and out with the church that the church needs to overcome – in particular this book calls the church to rediscover the foundation of sola-scriptura, the centrality of the cross, and the headship of Christ over his church.

A number of John’s books have received encouraging endorsements from leaders and writers such as Tom Lennie, David Robertson, Steve Uppal and John Glass.

If you have a heart for the lost, a vision for revival and a desire to see the church rise up un the fulness of her calling – these books are for you!
